Operation Smile is a global nonprofit that mobilizes more than 6,000 medical volunteers across 67 countries to deliver cleft surgery and training. The organization struggled with fragmented, manual processes—paper, spreadsheets, email, and a limited Monday.com setup—which made it hard to get up-to-date visibility on programs, staffing and budgets and required heavy manual effort to produce reports and plan globally.

Working with Smartsheet and Smartsheet Professional Services, Operation Smile replaced its previous tools with a master Smartsheet system using Dynamic View, automated workflows, conditional formatting and dashboards. Program data now updates near real-time, cutting planning meeting time and enabling faster, more accurate volunteer mobilization, supporting a DevOps approach in IT, and freeing teams to focus more on delivering surgical programs.
