MedPOINT Management, which supports independent physician associations and hospitals, needed a better way to track employee leave and team availability across 12 sub-teams. Its existing PTO tracking was messy and made staffing and scheduling decisions difficult, so the company turned to Smartsheet to create a more centralized absence-management process.

Using Smartsheet, MedPOINT built a Team PTO & Absence Management solution with manager and department views, a calendar, and color-coded categories for quick visibility. The result was faster adoption across the IT department, clearer insight into availability and team shortages, and stronger staffing decisions; the solution was also recognized as a winner in Smartsheet’s ENGAGE’22 Template Contest and shared in the Smartsheet Template Gallery.
