Forterra gains operational efficiency via company-wide project visibility

Forterra, a long-standing UK manufacturer of bricks, blocks and bespoke products, faced inconsistent project delivery and reporting across different disciplines that was disrupting workflows and timelines. The company decided to establish a Project Management Office (PMO) and required a toolset that everyone could access to standardize processes and provide portfolio-level visibility.

Working with Cheetah Transformation, Forterra rolled out Smartsheet Control Center to create department-specific project templates, capture key metrics, and automate reports and real-time dashboards for different audiences. Five months after go-live, more than 70 projects were managed consistently in Smartsheet, enabling better prioritization, transparent progress tracking, reduced administrative overhead for project managers, and measurable improvements in operational efficiency.
