AeroMD Uses Smartsheet to Manage Disaster Response and Covid-19 Preparedness

AeroMD, an air ambulance operator based in the U.S. Virgin Islands, needed reliable, real-time visibility across teams, equipment, travel restrictions, and medical supplies to safely support emergency and disaster response across the Caribbean. The onset of COVID-19 exposed weaknesses in their compartmentalized systems and created an urgent need to track respirators, isolation equipment, team status, and regional case data more effectively.

AeroMD implemented Smartsheet dashboards and automated alerts to consolidate inventory, order status, locations, and travel/operational information into a single view, and built an API to import island-level COVID data from Johns Hopkins. The result was faster, more accurate sourcing and tracking of critical supplies, improved situational awareness and communication across the region, and adoption of the dashboard approach for routine supply management and future emergency responses.
