Laramar Overcomes Communication & Workflow Challenges

Laramar Group, a Chicago-based multifamily housing provider with more than 12,000 units across 55 communities, faced communication and workflow challenges as it managed a centrally coordinated, mobile maintenance operation. With limited face-to-face interaction and cumbersome service-request processes, the company needed a better way to coordinate tasks and communicate with residents and associates; it turned to SmartRent Work Management.

SmartRent implemented Work Management to streamline task management, improve resident communication, and help maintenance teams work more efficiently across multiple sites. The results were strong: in Q1 2021, residents created 3,067 maintenance tasks and Laramar closed more than 3,000 of them for a 98% completion rate, with zero negative resident ratings. SmartRent also helped improve emergency notifications, real-time communication, and operational visibility, and Laramar later expanded the solution beyond its Local by Laramar portfolio.
