JYSK - Customer Case Study

JYSK, a Scandinavian home furnishings retailer with 3,200 locations and 30,000 employees, set out to transform hiring across its decentralized global store network—especially after merging with German retailer Dänisches Bettenlager. Facing the challenge of treating candidates (many of whom are also customers) well while making the process intuitive for thousands of store managers, JYSK evaluated HR systems during the merger and selected SmartRecruiters to standardize and modernize hiring.

By implementing SmartRecruiters with streamlined applications, mobile access, assessment integrations and brief manager training, JYSK trained 3,500 hiring managers and now processes about 50,000 applicants per month. The changes cut application processing from 28 days to 3–4 days and reduced time-to-fill from 56 days to 20 days (a 64% reduction), with ongoing pilots and metric reviews driving further improvements.
