A Smartpath Case Study
Sacred Heart Mission, a charitable not-for-profit organization supporting people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage, needed a reliable way to manage maintenance across 13 Opportunity Shops, 5 offices, a dining hall, a commercial kitchen, an aged care facility, and 14 independent living units. Without a central system, tracking and completing the regular planned and reactive maintenance required for these sites would have been extremely difficult. Smartpath provided Loc8, a cloud-based facility maintenance platform, to help meet this challenge.
Using Smartpath’s Loc8 solution, Sacred Heart Mission initially captured and tracked reactive maintenance, then expanded into preventative maintenance to automatically create and manage planned works. The organization also used custom webforms and reporting features to log unserviceable assets and gain better visibility into maintenance activity and expenses across the business. The result was improved control of compliance-related maintenance across multiple sites and a stronger top-down view of operations, with the platform continuing to support broader asset management goals.
