Skrz.cz turned to Smartlook to better understand real user behavior and hunt down elusive site problems that traditional user testing and analytics hadn’t revealed. The team was initially skeptical that session recordings could replace in-person testing, but they needed a faster way to find bugs affecting login, search relevance, review submissions, and to evaluate how popups and landing pages impacted conversions and PPC campaigns.
Using Smartlook’s session recordings and API tagging, Skrz.cz replayed user journeys, tagged specific actions (like the “Favorite” button), and quickly diagnosed issues — finding 15 bugs in three hours and enabling an immediate fix to a login error. Smartlook also gave concrete evidence for PPC optimization, exposed search and review flow problems caused by persistent popups, and accelerated feature testing and debugging, improving both product quality and marketing decision-making.
