A Smartlinx Case Study
The Parker Jewish Institute, a 527-bed healthcare and rehabilitation center, faced challenges managing labor costs and administrative inefficiencies due to its use of four disparate systems for scheduling, timekeeping, payroll, and HR. This disjointed approach led to redundant data entry, inconsistent information, and a lack of visibility into overtime expenses until after payroll was processed. Seeking to streamline operations, they partnered with vendor Smartlinx to implement its integrated workforce management suite.
Smartlinx provided a fully integrated solution, implemented in a phased approach starting with its Schedule Optimizer and Time and Attendance modules. This consolidation gave Parker Jewish real-time insight into labor costs, enabling managers to proactively control overtime. The results included a significant reduction in manual pay policies from 60 to 23, automated processes, and robust reporting capabilities. The institute now effectively eliminates unnecessary labor expenses and has greater control over one of its biggest costs.
