How Norwegian retailer sportsdeal.no reported 102.4% higher sales figures using award-winning automation technology

SportsDeal, part of the Norwegian Sport 1 retail chain, sells sporting goods online in a highly competitive market with very high CPCs. The team struggled with manual bid management in Google Shopping, which limited growth, wasted spend on weaker products, and made it hard to improve both efficiency and traffic. They turned to Smarter Ecommerce GmbH and its Shopping Ad Automation to scale campaign management and align bids more effectively.

Smarter Ecommerce GmbH implemented automated Shopping campaigns, first organized by brand and later split by device, and also helped SportsDeal add CSS campaigns and sync bids between CSS and GSE. The results were strong: revenue rose 25% and conversions 21.9% soon after launch, ROAS improved 44.6%, and after the CSS and GSE setup combined, revenue increased 102.4% year over year with conversions up 595% and clicks up 330%. The case study says that without smec.shopping ads, SportsDeal would have seen 70.2% fewer conversions and 69.2% lower revenue.
