Globetrotter, a leading European outdoor retailer with about 35,000 products across 18 stores and an online shop, needed to effectively advertise a large, diverse catalogue across multiple paid search channels, deliver highly relevant ads, and leverage automation to improve efficiency and conversions. They partnered with Smarter Ecommerce GmbH and used smec’s Search and Shopping Ad Automation solutions (including Google Shopping management/Whoop! and Query Sculpting) to tackle these challenges.

Smarter Ecommerce GmbH implemented automated campaign structures, device- and query-level bidding via Query Sculpting, keyword sourcing from Shopping into Search, and automated text ad generation to enable granular targeting and frequent updates. The approach produced substantial gains: overall +75% YoY growth, +26% impressions, +44% conversion rate and +71% conversions for Shopping & Search year-over-year, plus improved impression share and conversions on Microsoft Advertising.
