Staedion, a major housing corporation in The Hague serving one in seven city residents, sought to drive its digital transformation to improve service for both tenants and employees. Their challenge was to streamline a high volume of yearly rental processes, which involved a significant amount of manual paperwork and data entry across multiple systems, to become a more efficient and attractive organization. To achieve this, they partnered with vendor SmartDocuments to centralize and automate their document generation.

The solution involved deeply integrating SmartDocuments with their core Dynamics Empire ERP system to automatically populate document templates with tenant data. This allowed Staedion to digitize the entire customer journey, from generating rental contracts for online signature to automating physical mail. The results were substantial time savings, the elimination of manual errors, and a faster process accelerated further by the pandemic. SmartDocuments proved highly user-friendly for both administrators and other employees, and its ability to connect with over ten other systems, including an automated robot for tasks, created significant added value for the customer.
