From 2000 to 350 'standard documents' thanks to SmartDocuments

The Municipality of Tilburg faced a significant challenge in managing its vast and growing library of over 2,000 standard documents within its JDEdwards ERP system, which created inefficiencies and was difficult to control. Seeking to improve document management and creation while ensuring a stable, user-friendly connection to JDEdwards, the municipality turned to the document creation platform from vendor SmartDocuments for a solution.

SmartDocuments implemented its platform, which uses an advanced XML generator to pull data directly from JDEdwards and guides users through a wizard to build documents. This solution dramatically reduced the number of standard documents from 2,000 to just 350. SmartDocuments achieved an enormous improvement in data quality and consistency, eliminated retyping errors, and provided significant cost and time savings through simplified, in-house management.
