Case Study: Kaspersky achieves agile, automated localization for biweekly releases with Smartcat

A Smartcat Case Study

Preview of the Kaspersky Case Study

Kaspersky - Customer Case Study

Kaspersky’s documentation and localization team faced a major bottleneck after moving to Agile: biweekly mobile app releases meant frequent UI and help-text changes across ~10 apps and ~20 languages, turning localization and linguistic testing into a time- and error-prone process. To scale without sacrificing quality, Kaspersky selected Smartcat (using a Smartcat–Serge integration to sync strings from their internal VCS) to automate multibranch workflows, in-context translation, and secure string handling.

Using Smartcat with Serge and an automated screenshotting bot, Kaspersky cut a ~30-step localization pipeline to 9 steps and reduced per-release, per-app effort from 84 hours to 14 hours (about six times less). Smartcat’s platform enabled in-editor screenshots, parallel translations, fewer build failures (placeholders and checks), easier collaboration, and faster turnaround—effectively removing localization as a release bottleneck.
