How Washos uses Smartcar to create seamless on-demand car wash experiences

Washos, an app-based car wash and detailing service in Los Angeles, wanted to make interior detailing easier for customers and detailers. Before using Smartcar, customers had to physically meet detailers and exchange car keys, which was inconvenient and time-consuming for both sides.

Using Smartcar’s API, specifically its lock and unlock endpoints, Washos enabled customers with internet-connected vehicles to share a digital key directly through the Washos app. Smartcar helped eliminate key exchanges, saving time and hassle for detailers and creating a smoother on-demand car wash experience, while also helping Washos scale more efficiently.
