A SMART Technologies Case Study
SMART Technologies partnered with the Wolverhampton Local Authority on its Learning2Go initiative, which rolled out thousands of mobile devices to primary classrooms. The key challenge was integrating those devices with existing SMART Board interactive whiteboards so teachers and students could share work and collaborate without cables or the limitation of one connected device at a time.
SMART deployed SynchronEyes classroom management software to wirelessly connect every mobile device to the teacher’s computer and interactive whiteboard, enabling real-time screen sharing, group work, private messaging and monitoring. The result was seamless classroom integration, wider rollout (over 2,500 devices), increased student engagement and parental involvement, improved KS2 test results and attendance gains of up to 30% in participating schools.
