Pridwin Preparatory School for Boys, an independent Johannesburg school (ages 5–13) founded in 1923, set out to create 21st-century classrooms that integrate ICT across the curriculum and better prepare students for a technology-driven world. The challenge was to engage boys with short attention spans while making learning relevant across subjects from math and languages to science and music.

Pridwin adopted SMART Board interactive whiteboards (with Notebook and SMART Ideas software), installing 14 units and planning one per classroom, to deliver interactive, multimedia lessons. Teachers report streamlined lesson planning, higher student engagement and presentation skills, parents prefer SMART-enabled classes, and one teacher observed about a 10% increase in average marks over two years.
