SMART classrooms give LCCC a technology advantage

Laramie County Community College (LCCC), a top-ranked mid-sized community college known for its tech leadership, sought to maintain its competitive edge and extend effective classroom technology across Laramie County. The challenge was finding a comprehensive interactive solution that would support faculty instruction, boost recruitment and become a standard tool for K–12 schools and other local institutions.

LCCC and Laramie County School District Number One standardized on SMART Board interactive whiteboards and SMART Notebook software, installing dozens of SMART classrooms (66 interactive whiteboards county-wide) and integrating multimedia tools and wireless slates. The rollout increased faculty adoption and improved instructional modalities from kindergarten through college, contributed to a 36% enrollment rise over five years and gave the college a marketable “cutting‑edge” advantage validated by student surveys.
