An Education and Business Solution for London Transport Museum

London Transport Museum, a charity and popular Covent Garden attraction welcoming over 250,000 visitors a year, completed a major refurbishment that expanded galleries and created a new 100‑seat education room. The museum needed a quick, intuitive collaboration system that would work within the constraints of a Grade II listed building, support curriculum‑led school visits of all ages, and make the space more attractive and hireable for corporate users.

The museum installed a SMART Board 885ix with SMART Notebook for education and Meeting Pro for business, using its multi‑touch screen, web access, digital ink and ultra‑short‑throw projector to fit the tight space. Since August 2011 the board has been in constant use for school programmes, corporate hire and internal meetings, improving engagement, broadening the museum’s hire appeal and helping generate additional revenue with an easy‑to‑use, flexible collaboration tool.
