Stockland Baulkham Hills, a busy neighbourhood shopping centre with 831 parking spaces and around 68,000 weekly visitors, was struggling with poor parking perception, difficult navigation, and congestion as drivers searched for available bays. The centre needed a better way to manage its car park and improve the customer experience, and it turned to Smart Parking for an overhead guidance parking solution.

Smart Parking implemented its Overhead Guidance System, installing 826 vehicle detection sensors, overhead indicators, 50 variable message signs, and real-time reporting through smartRep. The result was quicker identification of vacant spaces, reduced traffic build-up, brighter and easier-to-navigate parking areas, and improved customer feedback; the system also provided detailed usage data to help Stockland make better parking decisions and support retailer revenue.
