Smart Data partnered with Winsupply, a manufacturing company, to address a challenge with its outdated IBM RPG-based order management system. This legacy system prevented customers from performing routine tasks themselves, such as checking order statuses, and lacked support for modern browsers and mobile devices.

Smart Data implemented a modern Angular and Java web platform that wrapped around the existing RPG and DB2 systems. This solution provided customers with self-service control over orders, supply chain visibility, and access to lost-sales metrics. The project successfully replaced manual call volume with self-service, preserved all reliable legacy systems, and gave customers the same operational visibility that Winsupply's internal teams enjoyed.
