The client's Medicaid members were forced to use a separate legacy mobile app and a member portal, which featured duplicated, buggy functions and a disjointed user state, all while needing to meet strict state compliance obligations.

The solution engineered by Smart Data was a unified React Remix progressive web application (PWA). This single codebase consolidated the member experience across all devices, integrated with the client's systems via Azure microservices and a custom Strapi CMS, and enabled continuous shipping. This approach replaced the cumbersome app store release cycle and built a scalable, long-term foundation for the organization's growth.
