How Sabre Commercial Uses SmartBid to Streamline Their Preconstruction Process

Sabre Commercial, an Austin-based general contractor specializing in hospitals, schools, offices and other commercial projects, needed to improve preconstruction efficiency, transparency and consistency across its estimating and preconstruction teams. To solve this, Sabre turned to Smart Bid and its SmartBid bid management software (SMARTBID by ConstructConnect) to centralize bidding workflows and standardize templates and communications.

Smart Bid implemented SmartBid to give Sabre customized bid templates, centralized bid history, streamlined subcontractor communication, and easy selection of preferred subs. The result was significantly faster bid cycles and clearer collaboration — for example, an estimator sent two bid invites and had drawings uploaded and subcontractor responses within 30 minutes — enabling Sabre’s team to be more efficient and to bid and win more projects.
