Trek Bicycle Increases Brand Consideration with Digital Advice

Trek Bicycles wanted to help shoppers choose from more than 300 bikes on its US website, especially novice riders who lacked the product knowledge to narrow down the options. As the company expanded its direct-to-consumer approach, it needed a better way to educate visitors and increase confidence in buying online.

Trek Bicycles built an interactive Bike Finder using SMARTASSISTANT’s Digital Advice Suite. The advisor doubled conversion for users who engaged with it, drew 4% of all site traffic, and averaged 3.5 minutes per session. Trek said the implementation was one of the easiest parts of the project, and planned to expand the advisor to more markets and product categories.
