METRO Cash & Carry, part of Metro AG, wanted to make guided selling part of its customer experience across stores and online channels. To do that, it used SMARTASSISTANT to provide interactive product advice in categories such as coffee machines, printers, and mattresses.

SMARTASSISTANT helped METRO deploy advisors on standalone kiosks, tablets, and its online shop, creating a more seamless shopping experience. METRO rolled out 36 device-optimized interactive product advisors in 8 weeks, and 72% of surveyed customers found suitable products through the Shopping Assistants or rated the advice quality highly.
