Standard Life Investments, a global asset manager with over 1,000 employees across multiple offices, wanted to boost collaboration and Salesforce adoption by rolling out Salesforce Chatter. Before launch, legal and compliance teams raised concerns about SEC and FINRA recordkeeping and supervision for the high volume of social-style communications Chatter generates.
Standard Life implemented the Smarsh Professional Archive to capture, preserve and supervise Chatter alongside existing email and messaging channels. This allowed a global Chatter rollout with no major increase in compliance workload: client-facing teams respond faster, executives can broadcast knowledge company-wide, and compliance, HR and risk teams can audit and supervise Chatter within their existing workflows.
