A Smaply Case Study
USECON, an international design and consulting firm, sought to research and improve its internal employee experience while also piloting a new tool for future client use. To meet this challenge, they partnered with the vendor Smaply to employ their ExperienceFellow mobile ethnography tool for data collection.
Smaply's solution involved a three-week study where 14 USECON employees used the ExperienceFellow app to record 178 touchpoints about their work life. The data revealed key insights, leading USECON to implement changes such as fostering more interpersonal exchange and appointing a dedicated employee to improve knowledge management. As a result, USECON sustainably improved its employee experience and company culture, and was so pleased with the outcome that they planned to integrate Smaply's tool into future client projects.
