Unow, a distributed team of 35+ building professional online courses, struggled to manage product and tech documentation: “fixed” knowledge lived in an internal wiki while collaborative “flow” docs were scattered across Google Drive, making product specs — the team’s source of truth — hard to find and track. To address this, Unow turned to Slite’s collaborative docs platform to bring better discoverability and structure to their workflows.

Unow migrated its flow docs into Slite, mirroring their Slack channel structure, making channels public by default and rolling out a standardized product-specs template. By centralizing onboarding, tech processes and meeting notes in Slite, the product and tech teams achieved seamless onboarding, clearer visibility (everyone is notified of new docs), and easier collaboration — Slite became their single source of truth and the primary place they now write product specs.
