Vivera minimises stock outs while reducing inventory levels

Vivera, a Netherlands-based food manufacturer that produces, packages and exports 450 products to more than 25 countries, needed a better way to manage fast-changing production planning and short delivery-time requirements. With growing demand, planners were increasingly forced to adjust schedules and add extra production runs, so Vivera turned to Slimstock and its Slim4 planning platform to improve forecasting and production control.

Working with Slimstock, Vivera implemented Slim4’s forecasting and Order Generator module to automate production-order planning and make scheduling more flexible. The result has been greater visibility into raw-material needs and product interdependencies, more proactive planning, and a better ability to reduce stock shortages and waste while helping planners focus on higher-value decisions.
