Verpa Senco’s service Levels Increased by 4%

Verpa Senco, the exclusive Senco distributor across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, operates a European Distribution Centre stocking about 12,800 different products. With forecasting and inventory control performed manually and via ERP, Operations Director Erik Kuijper wanted to consolidate and professionalize the process to reduce supply chain costs. Verpa Senco selected Slimstock and its inventory optimisation software Slim4 to tackle these challenges.

Slimstock implemented Slim4 (with the Slimstock Capital Performance Monitor and exception reporting) to centralize forecasting, set economic order quantities and speed up exception handling, making ordering far less labour intensive. Within seven months availability rose from 93.8% to 97.8%, days of stock declined, backorders fell and warehouse productivity improved; Verpa Senco now targets 99.5% service on A items and 99% on B items, demonstrating clear, measurable benefits from Slimstock’s solution.
