Van Marcke Manages Inventory Across DCs and Stores

Van Marcke, a Belgian wholesaler of sanitary and heating equipment, needed a better way to control rapidly growing inventory across its distribution centres and retail stores. To support its “first-time-right” supply chain approach, Van Marcke used Slimstock’s Slim4 inventory management software to manage stock, forecast demand, and keep service levels high across multiple locations.

Slimstock helped Van Marcke consolidate three separate Slim4 environments into one multi-location system after its SAP ERP go-live, covering 525,000 items in total. The result was a single, unified planning process with more efficient supplier coordination and improved service levels, while also enabling automation for store replenishment and better exception-based planning.
