UZ Gent improve their inventory health with Slim4

UZ Gent (Universitair Ziekenhuis Gent) manages weekly supply to 364 internal customers across 727 delivery addresses and about 35,000 storage spaces, with highly variable consumption rates and an ERP that lacked forecasting and flexible classification. To improve automatic replenishment and inventory visibility, UZ Gent invested in Slimstock’s inventory management solution, Slim4.

Slimstock implemented Slim4 to give centralised insight, classify item behaviour, and automatically optimise reorder points, laying the groundwork for a more dynamic automated replenishment process. As a result, tasks that previously took hours to analyse are now quickly accessible, the hospital is on track to manage 90% of sterile and non-sterile consumables via automatic replenishment, and teams are more responsive and better able to prioritise availability and product range—outcomes credited to Slimstock and Slim4.
