Fatboy, a Dutch lifestyle design brand managing about 1,600 finished and semi-finished product lines, struggled to control growing assortment and seasonal volatility using only Excel. Just as demand became highly unpredictable during the COVID-19 pandemic, Fatboy was barely live with Slimstock’s inventory optimization solution, Slim4, and needed faster, more reliable forecasting and stock control.
Slimstock implemented Slim4 in a matter of weeks, giving Fatboy visual prioritization, scenario planning and pipeline visibility so the team could see which SKUs needed immediate action, simulate demand swings, and anticipate out-of-stock timing. As a result, Fatboy maintained control through the crisis, protected turnover and margins, improved cross‑functional decision-making, and is now using Slim4 to forecast new-season launches and work toward reducing overall stock.
