Slim4 enables data-driven decision making at KAISER + KRAFT

KAISER + KRAFT, part of TAKKT AG and a European B2B market leader in warehouse and office equipment, faced growing complexity managing ~115,000 items across multiple warehouse locations. Their legacy inventory software delayed access to data, lacked seasonality detection and useful analytics, and forced planners to rely on spreadsheets and gut-feel. In January 2020 the company chose Slimstock’s Slim4 inventory optimisation solution to gain multi-warehouse transparency and data-driven decision making.

Slimstock remotely implemented Slim4 (with hypercare support) and enabled ABC/XYZ analyses, simulations, a ToDo ordering view and browser-based reporting. Within nine months KAISER + KRAFT met its goals—more efficient multi-location inventory control, lower capital commitment and higher turnover—and the number of articles per planner rose ~60% while the planning team stayed at three users. Slimstock’s Slim4 also reduced stockouts, is being rolled out to six warehouses and sister companies, and has allowed KAISER + KRAFT to “plan based on the real numbers.”
