Slim4 an Excellent tool for PGZ International

PGZ International — including Feeder One and PGZ Retail Concepts — needed to cut excess inventory and improve service levels after finding the ordering modules in JDEdwards insufficient. They partnered with Slimstock and adopted its Slim4 demand-planning and inventory-optimization solution to standardize ordering, improve forecasts, and reduce manual workload.

Slimstock implemented Slim4 (went live August 2005) using a management-by-exception approach, experienced trainers, and temporary planner support. The results: Feeder One’s stock turn rose from 8 to 11, and PGZ Retail Concept availability improved from 95% to 98.5%; planners now work with better forecasts, a smaller team has more control, and overall inventory efficiency and supplier communication have markedly improved under Slimstock.
