Sharing inventory information pays off for Bouwmaat

Bouwmaat, a construction wholesaler with 47 branches in the Netherlands, worked with Slimstock and its Slim4 inventory optimisation tool to tackle stock availability and supply chain inefficiencies. As demand and stock data became more fragmented across suppliers, branches, and logistics partners, Bouwmaat needed better visibility to avoid shortages, excess inventory, and costly delays.

Slimstock’s Slim4 helped Bouwmaat share forecasts, sales data, and stock information across the chain, improving collaboration with suppliers and logistics provider Ceva Logistics. The result was a centralised supply chain that removed 120,000 of 200,000 deliveries, achieved a 99% service level, improved supplier delivery performance, and reduced logistics costs through smarter ordering and capacity planning.
