Salto Systems doubles the size of its assortment while reducing shrinkage by 56% with Slim4

Salto Systems, a global leader in electronic locks and access control, faced increasing inventory complexity as its assortment more than doubled to over 53,000 SKUs and sales grew about 14% annually. To replace an inflexible Navision MRP process and reduce the heavy manual workload on planners, Salto Systems partnered with Slimstock and implemented the Slim4 inventory optimisation solution in 2012.

Using Slim4 from Slimstock, Salto Systems gained detailed BOM visibility and automated planning that let a single planner manage the entire assortment. The solution delivered measurable results: roughly 56% reduction in shrinkage, more than 15% improvement in stock turn for A-items (about 12% for B-items), and maintained inventory control despite SKU and sales growth, enabling the company to scale without increasing planning headcount.
