Rema1000 optimises its end-to-end supply chain with Slimstock

REMA 1000, one of Denmark’s best‑known discounters with over 357 stores (and supported distribution to 950+ outlets by Reitan Distribution), faced stretched warehouse capacity, extreme demand volatility from COVID‑19 and the need to professionalise and automate inventory across its end‑to‑end supply chain. To boost availability and create a single integrated operation, REMA 1000 engaged Slimstock and its Slim4 inventory optimisation solution.

Slimstock worked closely with REMA 1000’s planning team to replace manual processes, roll out changes supplier‑by‑supplier and deliver forecasting, demand‑planning and inventory‑optimisation capabilities. The implementation gave REMA 1000 much greater visibility and control of inbound logistics, improved replenishment decisions and warehouse capacity utilisation, helped manage trading peaks (including a well‑handled Christmas period) and is expected to drive at least a full percentage point improvement in service as the programme continues—results achieved with Slimstock’s ongoing consultancy and support.
