NRF Increases Control of Supply Chain

NRF (Netherlands Radiator Factory), a leading distributor of radiators and spare parts with a central distribution centre in Mill and 11 subsidiary stocking locations across Europe, faced poorly structured inventory planning that led to excess stock and limited visibility of service levels. To tighten control of their supply chain and improve Sales & Operations Planning, NRF chose Slimstock and its Slim4 inventory optimisation solution, integrated with Microsoft Dynamics AX.

Slimstock implemented Slim4 to provide statistically based forecasts, manage-by-exception order advice and automated replenishment; initial benefits were seen within four months and the system was rolled out to all branches. As a result, NRF reduced obsolete stock, improved stock visibility and staff efficiency, and increased availability from 88% to 95%.
