Morplan Reunites With Slim4

Morplan, a long-established UK supplier to the fashion and retail industry, struggled to meet its next‑day delivery promise across an assortment of more than 6,500 items due to strong seasonality, long lead times and an SAP forecasting system that left them with too much wrong stock and frequent stockouts (up to 30% excess on some lines). To tackle this challenge they returned to vendor Slimstock and its forecasting and inventory management solution, Slim4.

Slimstock implemented Slim4 using the standard SAP–Slim4 interface, allowing Morplan to analyse seasonal patterns in greater detail and take a more proactive approach to replenishment. Within weeks Morplan was on course to meet its stock‑reduction targets; service levels increased to over 97% and excess inventory fell substantially, freeing time to focus on buying, supplier management and further cost reductions.
