Häfele, a global manufacturer and distributor of furniture fittings and architectural hardware, faced major supply‑chain disruption from the Covid‑19 pandemic while needing to maintain its flexible, next‑day delivery promise and keep inventory tightly controlled. To fine‑tune its inventory processes and protect service levels, Häfele worked with Slimstock, using its Slim4 inventory‑optimisation solution (upgraded to the latest version).

Slimstock implemented and upgraded Slim4 to standardise workflows and speed management of a very large SKU base, enabling Häfele to identify where inventory could be reduced without impacting customers and to build targeted safety stock for suppliers hit hardest by the crisis. The result was improved planning efficiency, maintained availability through rapid forecast reductions or purchase‑order delays when demand fell, and automated exception alerts that kept the business responsive — with further gains expected as Häfele rolls out additional Slim4 features such as the EOQ module.
