Europastry, a world-leading frozen bakery and pastry supplier serving over 60,000 customers with more than 2,500 SKUs, faced increasing complexity in demand forecasting and in optimising supply, production and distribution as it expanded globally. To consolidate its leadership and support ambitious growth, Europastry selected Slimstock and its Slim4 inventory optimisation solution to provide integrated demand planning and scheduling support.

Slimstock implemented Slim4, fully integrating forecasting with production scheduling and the JD Edwards ERP and using management-by-exception to automate 95% of SKUs. The result: service level rose to 97.8% (an increase of ~2.5%), urgent orders were eliminated, shrinkage risk was reduced, and inventory replenishment and forward planning improved — benefits that underpin Europastry’s planned expansion into the US and Latin America.
