Drive Products Replaced Popular Software With Slim4 For Better Results

Drive Products, Canada’s leading commercial-vehicle integrator with 412,600 SKUs, faced rising inventory complexity after several acquisitions and relied on an outdated planning tool with poor support. To reduce excess stock and rebalance inventory across its network, Drive Products replaced the old system with Slimstock’s planning software, Slim4.

Slimstock implemented Slim4 integrated with Drive Products’ Great Plains ERP, completing the project under budget and immediately surfacing $2M in excess purchase recommendations. As a result, inventory fell from $42M to $36M (a >$6M reduction), stock turns on many A-items doubled, short shipments decreased, and purchase planning time improved from three days for one location to one day for the entire company.
