A Slimstock Case Study
BouwCenter Filippo, a rapidly growing construction wholesaler with five stock branches, four showrooms and seven DIY stores, struggled to efficiently utilise planning resources and control inventory after a series of acquisitions. The company believed centralising planning could cut stock by about €900k, so they engaged Slimstock and its inventory optimisation product Slim4 to gain better control and improve availability.
Slimstock implemented Slim4 to centralise planning (now handled by two people), automate replenishment and apply business rules for slow-moving and seasonal items. As a result, stock value fell from €5.0m to €3.2m, availability rose to 97%, and stock turns improved markedly versus peers — delivering more focused, profitable planning and ongoing roll-out to manage store assortments.
