BAS Parts (EXA Holding), a parts and services group operating a Global Truck Concept with about 3 million SKUs (75,000 kept in stock) and active items worth ~€6 million, faced highly complex, decentralized inventory management and long, variable lead times that made manual control impractical. To regain control and improve customer service, BAS Parts selected Slimstock and its Slim4 inventory optimisation software.
Slimstock rolled out Slim4 across all 14 locations, automating order proposals and accounting for the assortment’s complexity; within months the service level rose by 5% to over 98%, inventory value fell by €100,000, obsolete stock was reduced and turnover continued to grow. Slimstock’s Slim4 is also estimated to generate at least €300,000 in additional revenue annually while significantly lowering the effort required to manage inventory.
