ABS All Brake Systems, a European distributor of brake, steering and suspension parts, was facing a rapidly expanding portfolio—about 80 new SKUs added weekly and over 40,000 SKUs overall—while needing to maintain consistently high availability to meet customer expectations. To manage this complexity and the long tail of slow movers, ABS All Brake Systems turned to Slimstock and its inventory optimisation solution, Slim4.
Slimstock implemented Slim4 to optimise stock levels and guide replenishment decisions, which brought availability up by around 3% to over 95% and eliminated the risk of obsolescence, while enabling the same team to achieve higher output. Measurable impacts include a strategic increase in stock value from €6M to over €9M in five years, improved service levels and customer satisfaction, and plans to further boost performance by incorporating customer transaction data via Slimstock.
