YPF Drives Efficiency with Studio Environment

YPF, Argentina’s national oil company, faced the challenge of storing, integrating, and collaborating on large volumes of unconventional exploration data from its Neuquén basin studies. Working with SLB, the company looked for a way to preserve knowledge, improve data quality, and support multidisciplinary teams with better access to information in workflow context using the Studio E&P knowledge environment.

SLB implemented the Studio environment to centrally integrate exploration data, capture project knowledge, and improve collaboration across YPF’s geoscientists and data managers. As a result, YPF was able to manage data from basin to prospect scale, improve workflow efficiency and teamworking, and centralize data administration and quality control; the company also expanded the project scope to additional basin targets after seeing these benefits.
