Sundance Energy Saves USD 500,000 with 60% More Stages per Day in Simultaneous Fracturing Operations

Sundance Energy worked with SLB to improve the efficiency and economics of multistage fracturing on a four-well pad in the Eagle Ford Shale, Texas. The company wanted to reduce cycle time and costs while optimizing stimulation designs to avoid depletion effects from existing parent wells.

SLB used the StimCommander automated stimulation delivery platform, along with virtual wellsite technology and optimized stimulation design analysis, to enable simultaneous fracturing of two infill wells with one frac fleet. The result was 60% more stages per day, 35% more sand pumped per day, 10 days saved, and about USD 500,000 in rental, service, and consulting cost savings, while also delivering initial production 10 days earlier than usual.
