A SLB Case Study
SLB worked with Mediterranean Sea Operating Company, the operator of a satellite platform in the Mediterranean Sea, to reperforate shut-in wells that had poor flow performance. The company needed strict depth control on a platform with a 4.5-metric-ton crane limit, which ruled out a conventional electric line package and made a lightweight slickline intervention essential.
SLB used LIVE Perf digital slickline perforating services together with Enerjet expendable strip guns and eFire electronic firing heads to provide two-way telemetry, real-time depth correlation, and full firing control. The team completed 12 perforating runs across two wells, brought production back online, and increased output to 3,700 bbl/d of oil, with real-time downhole indications during firing that conventional slickline could not provide.
