Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) needed a better way to manage more than 25 TB of subsurface and regulatory data across more than 700 wells. Its E&P data was spread across multiple sources and formats, creating slow searches, repeated logins, duplicate versions of data, and concerns about access and security. SLB was chosen to help centralize and streamline this environment.
SLB implemented the ProSource E&P data management and delivery system, creating a single secure database and integrating it with the Seabed data model and GIS tools such as ArcMap and Esri ArcGIS. The solution improved data access, strengthened security, simplified workflows, and enabled faster review, comparison, merging, and updating of data. EGAS was able to manage the full E&P data lifecycle more effectively, reduce administration and delivery time, and improve user experience and decision making across its organization.
